CONCRETE TABLE

This project is about combining old handicraft and new materials. Today there is an abiding interest in people who continue to use the old ways of handmade carpentry methods. Their knowledge of handicraft is inherited and follows strict rules. The goal was to create a connection between old handicraft and today´s mass production, finding a way to link old traditions to new objects. This table was the first prototype for our "chess mate".

Dieses Projekt kombiniert auf innovative Weise traditionelles Handwerk und neue Materialien. Heutzutage gibt es ein stetig steigendes Interesse am Erhalund der Weitergabe alther-gebrachter Handwerkskunst und es wird ausgelotet, wie sie sich weiterentwickeln und in die 

moderne Gesellschaft einbinden lässt. Genau das ist auch das Ziel dieses Projekts: Eine 

Verbindung zu schaffen zwischen alten Traditionen und modernen Herstellungsmethoden, um auf diese Weise neue Produkte mit alter Wertigkeit entwickeln zu können. Dieser Tisch war der erste Prototyp für unser „chess mate“.
